Parishioners of all the Anglican parishes in the Deanery are invited to join together to celebrate the 2016 Easter Vigil at 8:00 p.m. on 26 March 2016 at the Church of St. John the Divine, Copper Cliff.
The silence of Holy Saturday deepens as at the Great Three Days ends. We will hear the story of God’s promises proclaimed, we will renew our baptismal vows, and we will celebrate our first Easter communion. Keep vigil at the tomb with the women and be the first to hear and announce the good news: “He is not here. He is Risen!” This service also marks the lighting of the new flame which lights our Easter journey. Everyone is welcome to attend.
11:00 p.m. Easter Vigil Service at the Fielding Memorial Chapel of St. Mark, Thornloe University, Sudbury. The Rev. Dr. Robert Derrenbacker will be presiding and preaching and and David Buley (with choir) will be doing music.
