As part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2026, Christians across denominations are invited to gather in prayer through a bilingual online ecumenical worship service on Wednesday, January 21, at 6:00 p.m.

The service will be co-presided by Bishop Thomas Dowd, Catholic Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie, and Archbishop Anne Germond, Anglican Diocese of Algoma—a visible sign of shared faith and common hope.

This year’s Week of Prayer is grounded in the scriptural theme from Ephesians 4:4:
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling.”

To support prayer and reflection throughout the week, free Canadian and international resources—including worship services, Bible study materials, and reflections for the Eight Days of Prayer—are now available:

All are warmly welcome to join in prayer and reflection for Christian unity.
