Archbishop Anne Germond announces these upcoming ordinations

Archbishop Anne Germond is pleased to announce the upcoming ordination of the Rev. Dr. Patti Brace, God willing, as a priest in the church of God. The ordination will be part of the opening service of Synod 2019 at St. Luke’s Cathedral, Sault Ste. Marie, on Wednesday, May 8th at 7 p.m.
The Most Rev. Fred Hiltz, Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada, will be the preacher.  A reception will follow at St. Andrew’s United Church. All are welcome!
Patti has a B.A. (Hons) from Trent University, Peterborough; a M.A. (English) and a Ph.D (English) from Queen’s University, Kingston; and she is near to completing her M.Div. from Trinity College, Toronto (May 2019). She is currently an Associate Professor at Laurentian University, Sudbury and Deacon Associate for the Parishes of St. John the Divine (Copper Cliff) and Christ Church (Lively).

Beverly van der JagtArchbishop Anne Germond is pleased to announce the upcoming ordination of Beverly van der Jagt, God willing, as a deacon in the church of God. The service is scheduled for Saturday, June 1st, 2019, commencing at 2 p.m. at St. John the Divine in Copper Cliff. The Rev. Kelly Baetz will be the preacher. Clergy and Lay Readers are invited to vest and process. The liturgical colour will be red. All are welcome!
A reception will be held following the service.
Bev is currently the Lay Incumbent at St. George’s (Espanola) and Pastoral Worker at St. Thomas (French River). She is also Deanery Pastoral Worker for the Deanery of Sudbury-Manitoulin. She holds a B.Th. from Thorneloe University and is currently working on her M.Div. (Pioneering) through Wycliffe College.
