NORD500NORTH

Rebels with a cause?

Nord500North is a conference that commemorates the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.  It is an opportunity to address the critical moment of our Christian history by moving beyond the controversies and disagreements that have often come between us and hindered our common work and witness.

All people of faith who want to come together to listen to each other, pray together, demonstrate outwardly our love for one another, and discern a way forward are invited to this two-day conference to be held at the Holiday Inn, Sudbury September 21-22, 2017.

Four presenters will provide participants with:

  • an understanding of the Reformation and the 450 years of division it created as well as the turnaround of the last 50 years that has featured dialogue, fellowship and working together on such social justice issues as restorative justice, homelessness, poverty, drugs & youth, family life & marriage, and Indigenous issues.
  • a recognition that we have all suffered from the disunity within the Church.
  • a focus on what unites us versus what divides us
  • an opportunity to build relationships with others
