Expression of Gratitude
Posted: June 29, 2016
The following has been received from Tom Newburn, Treasurer of St. John the Divine, Copper Cliff.

Re: Wheelchair Fundraiser for Dave Stamp
It gives me great pleasure to report that the donations for Dave’s Wheelchair are very close to achieving our goal, and we feel that it is appropriate to terminate our request for further donations.
It is heartwarming to see the way that people of our faith community have responded to help our dear friend, and on behalf of our congregation I most sincerely thank all who donated.
Dave has asked that he add his comments to all donors, which follow:

Dear friends in Christ,
Words cannot express what is in my heart and mind. Certainly gratitude for your very generous gifts to me and my wife, Joanne.
It is very clear to us that you all have been tuned in to the Holy Spirit all at the same time with the regards to the request that went out on my behalf, regarding the need for a powered wheelchair and lift for our van to make it easier for both of us to handle.
Initially, we did not know how we were going to pay for it (our portion), but we did know that God would gift us.
Just as 100 pianos are tuned to the same tuning fork, they are in tune with each other. So we are tuned to Jesus Christ, the head of the church, and we are linked to each other by His Spirit. This project is a powerful example of people demonstrating that God is at work among us.
Again we thank you all so much. God bless. We think of you often as we have made this journey together. We both love you all.
Dave and Joanne Stamp

Yours sincerely,
Tom Newburn
