As a follow up to the evening in June that focussed on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission with Brock Pitawanakwat, we would like to foster ongoing relationships with the indigenous peoples of Canada. There are a number of indigenous cultural events happening in our region this summer. If you would like to attend any of these pow wows, here are the links you need:
Atikameksheng First Nations Pow Wow (previously known as Whitefish Lake First Nations near Naughton) on July 25th weekend;
Wikwemikong First Nations Pow Wow on the Civic Holiday weekend; and,
Wahnapitae First Nations Pow Wow on the Aug. 15th weekend .
