Hi everyone. I trust that everyone has had a good summer. Our next meeting of Deanery Council is Sept 22, 2012 from 9 AM to approximately 3 PM. Please mark your calendars and make every effort to attend. I have had only a few regrets. remember also that we will need a volunteer to take minutes for this meeting.

Just a reminder that the next Deanery Council meeting takes place on the 22nd September in Espanola. It starts at 9:30am (with coffee) and Jane Mesich will be there to present the preliminary Diocesan Budget and the Bishop will be with us to speak about liturgy. There will also be an update on the Deanery Assessment process. People are asked to make this a priority and not to plan parish events on this day. It is a bring your own lunch event.
The meeting will take place at the Espanola Seniors Centre which is located behind the Espanola Hospital. Parking is limited so please carpool as much as possible.
Directions to Espanola Senior’s Centre from Joanne Laframboise:
I’m the president of the local seniors here in Espanola. The directions to get there are, coming from Hwy. 17:
You turn onto Hwy. 6 and follow the signs to the hospital toward the other end of town. Turn right onto Queensway Ave.
From the Island it will be a left turn onto Queensway Ave. as you enter Espanola.
You then turn left on McKinnon and park by the clinic as it is usually closed on Sat. You will see doors on a long corridor and you can go through them go across the courtyard and into the doors across the way and turn left to go to the seniors. Or take the next left driveway off the Queensway and the apartments are on one side and assisted living on the other with parking spots available there also. Enter the doorway and the seniors’ drop in is straight ahead.
I’ll have the doors open and the coffee on. Trust this isn’t too confusing. The phone number there in my office is 705 869-1420 Ext 3513.
